Okay, I have two computers both running on Intl motherboards and was wondering to what extent, if at all, they could be overclocked by.

The first is a Pentium 166 with MMX running on an Intel 430vx Spear board. I have been told that this board was not locked by Intel but have no idea how to go about it. Any ideas? There is no software overclock in the AWARD bios settings.

The second is an Intel Pentium II 333MHz with MMX running on an Itel al440lx. I have had this system overclocked with SoftFSB and stable at 400Mhz with a 80Mhz FSB, but was hoping there was a way of making this a permanent hardware overclock. Most people maintain that this board is locked, and indeed in the setup for the BIOS has different speed ratings for the processor, but nothing happens when it is overclocked - blank screen, no POST etc... I remember seeing somewhere a way to "trick" the board into running faster, but never had the balls to do it - does anyone know how?

Thanks guyz
