O/Cing my Athlon XP 2100+

Hey i got a athlon xp 2100+ im puttin gin my new sys (its 1.736 ghz). I was wondering how much is the default voltage and how much can i make it and what are the pro's and con's of voltage, is the only con heat? pro's are more mhz and stability right? I have a swiftech mcx462 and i dont wanna crazy o/c it just maybe like from 1.736 to 1.8 or max 1.85. Any help would be appreciated (in other words ..respond fast! hehe).

higher voltages will shorten the life of the cpu. the higher the volagte the faster you can kill it. try to get as high as you can before upping the v core. if it gets a little unstabe, you can bump it up a notch
