I have a old gateway(1998) and im wondering if its possilbe to overcloock it. Its a 350mhz PII processor and i dont know the motherboard type. If this is possilbe what would i do to OC it and what is the safest speed WITH using the standard cooling fan and heatsink.

Without knowing what motherboard you have, it's hard to say. But, generally most people don't have much luck overclocking OEM computers like Gateway.

IS there a program that tells me the make of my motherboard, or do i have to open it up and look(dont want to do that b/c i cant find a flash light)

Edit:
I found out my motherboard type

Board: Intel Corporation MP440BX AA700352-301

Bus Clock: 100 megahertz
BIOS: Intel Corp. 4M4PB0X1.15A.0033.P21 11/30/1999
