CPU: E8500
Mem: CORSAIR DOMINATOR 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066
MB: EVGA 132-CK-NF78-A1 LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 780i SLI ATX
Cooling: Stock air
Basically, I want to OC without changing the CPU voltage. I've read about people being able to hit up to 4.0 (lucky ones) or stock v.
My question is besides disabling all the BOIS settings, what do I need to change. Is it the CPU frequency?
the e8500 has a multiplier of 9.5, so if I wanted to bump it from 3.16 to say 3.6, I need to change my freq to ~380 (as opposed to the stock 333?)
If I do that, do I need to set my memory to the corsair rated at 5-5-5-15-2T at 2.1v 1066 Mhz?
If I set my FSB to 400 and my multiplier to 9, should that get me to 3.6? If so, what should I set my RAM to?
Thanks for any help
