OC on Gigabyte 8IHXP how fare can i go?

Well Guys how fare can i go with the FSB before it have some stability problems?

My CPU is P4 NW 2.53GHz FSB 533

Hey, I have the 8IHXP and I always get errors in Prime95 if I bump past the default FSB. I had a thread on here a while ago, but it seems to be gone.

I got the same config ...

P 2.53 + 8IHXP + Kingstone 1066

I am running since 2 days at 148 Mhz FSB 1.625 Volt. After 1 hour of Seti I freeze, but I can lauch 10 loop of 3DMark2001 without any problem.

I compared PC1066 running at PC 1200 versus PC 800 @ 900. the PC800 solution 3*150FsB is rock stable even under prime95 but 10% less efficient under benchmark result.

Therefore I keep my PC 1066@1200. Even if I have to use it FSB 148 instead of 150 with PC800.

SOmeone could post his result PC800 1066 and what voltage ar ey ou using ?

I got 16700 at 3D Mark 2001 with 148 FsB and PC 1066 @1190 (+radeon 9700 Pro)

I have an old TH7 II from Abit, I am sure that I can reach 3.0 ghz without problem on my old mobo but the Abit have less functionalities

THE SOLUTION.....

email gigabyte and ask them to include AGP/PCI divider or lock in the next BIOS release.

One day we will get our BIOS.........
