OC P4 What it too hot

I have a P4 1.8a that I have oc'd to 2.3. I have the vcore set to 1.625, and everything is stable. When the cpu is under 100% util, the temp starts to creep up to about 59 - 60 C.

I was given a Dragon Orb P4, that I am runnig at the lowest speed, as the fan is very loud at the higher speeds. I'm thinking about going back to the Intel HSF.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

you should go back to the original intel hsf. it should work good for your 1.8A at full o/c load, should be 50 - 53 C max if room temp is about 25 C.

make sure you have a nice even coat of quality thermal compound on there, and you might want to look at some of the more powerfull hsf if you have money check out the volcano 7+ and the swiftech mcx 478
