@ yo momma's house!
The maximum cpu temperature for a prescott cpu according to intel is 69.C. Now obviously i dont want to reach that temp but i read somewhere on this forum that 65C full load is acceptible. My full load temp is 60C and i'm wondering if thats too high but mostly im wondering how much temp room do i have for oc'ing or do i need to purchase a better hsf.

Noob ?'s: Whats a sig?
Must i have pictures on a website to use here?
With my mobo (phoenix awdbios 6.00pg), can i set my multiplier?

Cant use pix in sigs here. Second to anweser your question I think its fine. Most guys on prescotts get in the 60 range for load temps.

Btw what cooler?

Ok, your sig is the thing that you've already seem to got a hold of.......... :-/ , mine is "the multi-colored beast". I'm not for sure if you can use pics in your sig but I'm sure someone who knows will tell ya. Also I wanted to know what does BUMP mean in ppl's post?

PEACE

a "sig" is short for signature, and you can edit this in your profile

any changes to your signature are updated in every post that you have entered in the past

dont know about your mobo ;)

My load temps on stock cooling for my 3.2 prescott were about 67 - 73......swapped in a ThermalTake Spark 7+ and it went down to 63.........went ThermalRight XP120 and now Im at 47 celsius....thats nice.

BUMP means that they up that thread to the top of the thread listing. After a while your thread will be at somewhere down the bottom of the list that is pushed down by other new threads created. So when someone BUMP the thread then it put that thread on the top again  Hope you understand what I'm saying :) To get back on topic.....I think you should get a better aftermarket HS like SP-120 or SP-90. It will reduces your temp alots. Also some as5 will helps too.

BUMP = Bring Up My Thread
ive got 46-49 idle depends on room temp. and on full load its 56-60.. i use stock cooler atm so its normal

Well, many things have changed since this post but. I got a xp-120 with panaflo medium output (120),
top 80mm exhaust, psu exaust, 120mm back exaust,
80mm duct intake (cpu), 120mm side intake, 80mm front intake
temps are on a 70 F degree day about ~44C idle and ~56 load.

My mobo reads roughly 7-12C higher then normal according to everyone (Abit ic7-max3) so i think i'm find but i'll be damn if i'm content!!!! Suggestions will be appreciated.

Someday i'll install and use my crappy webcam to take pic's and help you guy's see what i'm workin with.
