I have a sapphire 9500np (9700 pcb) with samsung 2.8 ns ram. It will do the softmod with no problem at all, and I get 3dmark 01 scores that are through the roof from what I started with (measly 10k, up to 16700), with a clock of 350/300. This is with the cat 3.4's. However, when updated to DX9 and 3dmark 03, the scores on the same setup barely beat 3500, if even that. This is all on a fresh WinXP install and are the first benches run on this mobo. It doesn't make any sense because I was able to get almost 5000 with a bus of 166 and the same vid clocks on my old MSI board, and that I've gotten over 16500 on the same setup, same windows install, everything the same except DX9. Does anybody know what could be causing this? Could it be a faulty install of 3dmark or DX9?

Mobo/Processor: Abit NF7-S 2.0 (1.2 bios), 215 FSB synced w/ ram
AMD Barton 2500 at 2.1 ghz

Try reinstalling 3dmark... but why exactly do you have DX9? What games need it?

I have dx9 not because it's needed but because it's there, and i wanted to use 3dmark 03 at the time. There's not any hurt in having it, I solved the issues I was having before anyway, just required an uninstall then reinstall of the modded drivers... getting 5503 now at 373/310
