Sup Homies...

Just a quick qeustion... do u think that if i OC my amd xp 1700+ pross (my multi is 11 and my fsb is 133) like 6mhz more fsb that my system would run stable? i run at 1467mhz now if i cange my fsb to 138mhz (6mhz more than b4) i will run at 1.518mhz

so do u think that my system will run stable? (i have a volcano 6+ and a 120mm fan in the front bottom of my case(fyi))

That depends on temps and what you have in your PC.I would say yes first what ya do is download prime95 then go up slowly till your PC starts to mess up erros bluescreens and lockups ect. Then back off slightly and run prime95 overnight if it don't crash it's stable.

What Mobo do you have?

I have the same CPU. I can get up to an FSB of 145 on my system. I have a pretty averge hsf but I live in Canada with a room temperature of about 15c (60f). Yeah its cold but It keeps my comp stable. Still need to work on case ventilation though.

Moving to watercooling soon so hopefully I can turn up the thermostat soon and keep going OCing higher thru the summer months as well.

You should get 138 no problem.

Flounder 43 did include a link (i think) for the overclocking bios.
I upped my fsb from 133 to 138 thru bios.
I then d/l CPUFSB and upped my fsb to 147 there. I can sometimes up my fsb to 150 but it runs somewhat unstable so I keep it at 147.

i plan on getting at least another 100Mhz out of this
