direct from OCZ for testing purposes :D

Without OCZ DDR Booster that same ram only did 240-245mhz 2-2-2-6 at 3.18v on Abit AI7. On Asus P4C800-E without the booster probably only be able to do 217-220mhz 2-2-2-6 at 2.85v.

Thats a decent improvement. I'd like to try on on my BH-5 and see what I can get out of it with 2.85 volts now I can only get 230 fsb on Mushkin Level II Pc 3500 but my Vdimm moded board is down till I can replace the Vdimm mosfet. Maybe it,s worth a try cause the Vdimm mosfet gets so bloody hot even with a heatsink on it.

with same ram above on P4C800-E I tried a lower more acceptable 3.1v vdimm (LED) and easily get 245mhz 2-2-2-6 and at 3.3v (LED) get stable 250mhz 2-2-2-6 which is spot on for what average BH-5 can do :)

FYI, trying a single 256MB KHX3200K2/512 BH-5 stick and it's doing memtest fine at

255mhz 2-2-2-6 at 3.1v
260mhz 2-2-2-6 at 3.3v
265mhz 2-2-2-6 at 3.4v
270mhz 2-2-2-6 at 3.5v

Very nice results!! I can't wait till these are available. I checked out Frozencpu and they are just pre-order. Any one know when the actual release date is? I would love to see what this can do for my BH-5 Buffalo 3700 sticks!

I have a feeling that these are only good for people with either BH-5 or Intel systems. Intels are always RAM restricted overclocking, and BH-5 loves its high voltages. For regular AMD systems (Athlon XP as far as I know) it seems that we are motherboard/chipset restricted in our RAM/FSB overclocking.......at least I know mine is, I can only get 240 stable with DDR500 RAM........

So this isn't worth it for my system :-/ Now if only they had one of these for chipset voltages.....

But did they actually sell out or have they never had any in stock? I don't think the Booster is available for retail sale yet. Which means that they are not sold out, but that they have never had any to sell yet. If the Booster is ready for retail, then why is it so hard to find???

But I could be wrong.

If you check the compatibility list youll see alot of AMD motherboards arnt compatible with it. At least Nforce2 boards. Also it seems alot of boards are limited to 3.4 volts anyway.

So if your board can handle it then I say go for it. Otherwise it doesnt matter anyway.

I know it's compatible, but it's not what holds back mose Nforce AMD motherboards. With high-speed RAM, the restriction isn't the RAM anymore, it's the chipset and the motherboard, which can't be taken care of by a Vdimm booster. But for those without high-speed RAM, then this is probably a safer version of a voltmod.
