Gotta put it in the right form PhysX!!! (see first post)

Willl be updating today at the office...

PS - CPU speed really doesnt seem to matter much, at least with a single card. Curious though about two. Try backing your clock off to 4.5 and then 4Ghz and see what your score does...(if you would be so kind...)

At the XS CES 2011 party Shamino and Guautam were doing 4x GTX580 on a 980X at 5Ghz with a full CPU pot running 3dmark 2011. The CPU had no cold bug, but pushing it higher than 5Ghz didn't make any difference for the scores.

I'll have some pics up as soon as I have time to edit them and drop them into an article, but figured I'd mention this as its relevant to what you were talking about.

Excellent :)... I wonder where that CPU speed is 'enough' for those cards now.

I started out bone stock (3.2hz) and upped it to 4, then 4.2Ghz and gained 50 points, which isnt nothing, but in almost all other benchmarks there are noteable gains.

I would say 4.5 Is the max needed on a 980x (although I got better scores at 4.2 with a higher blk/tighter timings)

Not that I know of. The jump from stock to 4Ghz brought memory up from 1600 7-7-7-xx to 2k 8-8-8-24...

He he he, I should have something big coming in a week or so, and then you'll have to step it up quite a bit :p

See you and your score next week (Or in 1½ week maybe:D ) :burn:

I feel obligated to warn y'all that in a week or so I'm going to be forced to knock everybody in the single gpu category down a notch (except maybe miah, we'll see though ).

First page -- Overall Top Guns Single GPU Regardless of brand -- Position 6. Someone forgot to take out one of the [noparse] tags and it's throwing everything below that into unparsed bbcode.
