Let's enter the competition

Hi all! This is my first post here.
Well, it's time to break some records here. Today I bought some Corsair Dominator GT DHX+ 2000 Mhz CL8 8-9-8-24 Ram kit :)

I need some fine-tuning for my overclock i7 [email protected]
If someone can help would be much appreciated. :thup:

Can I join? :)
Here's my record. SuperPI 1M 9.740s

Intel i7 930 @4.2 GHz
@1.3375vCore (LLC Off, VDroop On)
@1.50 QPI (help stabilize this please)

Corsair Dominator GT DHX+
@2005 MHz x10 Rateo
8-9-8-24-2T Timing

Northbridge @4GHZ @1.26v

Turn off HT and go for higher clocks, HT does not help with superPi.

No HT will also run cooler and let you overclock more.

If you cut it down to 1 core running you'll also get a 23 multiplier available, at 200 base clock thats 4.6ghz. Might take ~1.50+ Vcore to do it but temps should be OK with only 1 core going which is what really matters.

I have always gotten the best efficiency with 2 cores enabled. Having a core to support the OS and background services, and the other focussed on superpi.

Kind of late for me, but here's my:

Phenom II X4 925, SuperPi1M score. It's a gold cup at the bot :)
15.460s

This was from my second DICE session ever on 87dtna's K-V1, so pardon the noobishness :D[/QUOTE]

CPU @ 4.5GHz?

Yep, on DICE. It's a non BE chip, so FSB clocking is somewhat limited. I think when I finally perfected my overclock after a few sessions with it I was able to get a 5000MHz CPU-z validation.

Wow 5GHz are a dream for me, unless with my current cooling system.

Thanks for the help :D
But you see i'm in need for a stable 24/7 overclock with HT enabled.. this is my gaming/work rig so I prefer HT on :D

I can reach 5Ghz to boot and run bench like TheNewbie with his 920, but i want a stable OC not a "only SuperPi".. Run SuperPi then EXPLODE with crazy vCore at 1.55!!! O__O

btw i'm on water too :)

i need to stabilize my ram @2000Mhz it won't stabilize with 1.53v on QPI VTT i need more but i'm scared to go higher.. :chair:

Heh, yeah but it does not start getting fun until your POST screen says CPU overvolt detected press F1 to continue ;)

Just messin around..

This is a fully loaded system not tweaked for benching, so there is lots of room for improvement.. I was just playing with clocks.. I finally figured out how to oc this platform lol.
