i have a bx440 right under a thjermoengine with a delta, the only problem is i want to change the heatsing, i don't have much room to add even a old 486 fan, so sholud i just leave it or swap it for a normal small graphics card heatsink and fan?

I take it you have a slocket adapter? If so the heatsink will be right over the chipset so the air exiting the sink should cool it down especially with that Delta jet on there.

Here is a few mods you can make to help out some more. On a lot of boards the greenie has no grease on it, just on there dry. Also the greenie's are usually kind of wavy and need to be lapped real bad.

Lap it and add grease. This is a good free mod since you said you don't have much money to spend.
