Ok as a quick recap from a earlier post. I accidentally shorted my 5v power line on the case and I reformatted. Everythings seems fine, but when I play counter-strike or do anything "intensive" the PC just freezes after 15 min or so of using. Why could this be happening?????? Please help me. This is so damn frustrating!!

Ok I am thinking my HDD is the one having issues. As I am getting Illegal operations and the such. Anybody concur?

A high FSB speed can create data curroption and/or damage the hard disk so this could in fact be correct

No real way of knowing other than testing another drive in that machine.

Try benchmarking the drive with Sisoft Sandra and see if it still stacks up to other drives in Sandra's database... but it still seems sensible to test another drive.

The higher FSB in not in effect right now and the HDD still does the Si Sandra 2001 benchmark at 25700.

HEY FROGGY

have you tried leaving your fsb@133 and running it with 1.9CV? And a quick question was everything stable before the accident? there may be a chance that you fried one of your chips on your MB, I know static electricity can really wreak havoc let alone a nice little discharge like the one you had. at this point its really to hard to say if its your hard drive or not. keep us informed on whats going on.
