Ok, since I'm still battling with this...

I'm trying to get Xubuntu onto my G3 iBook running 9.1. My problem is, that I still don't have a CD drive for it, and it refuses to boot from any flash drive or any external HD/CD drive. Someone mentioned booting from a network, and that's what I'm wondering how to do. My only two rigs ATM are the iBook, and my desktop running XP Pro.

do a network installation of ubuntu and once running do apt-get install xubuntu desktop
