I have an old 8500LE card which I want to use to connect to an HDTV (1366x768) to play movies. It has a DVI connector which I would use with a DVI->HDMI connector. My x1900xt has the option to display 1360x768 and I was wondering if the 8500LE could do the same?

Also, I'm not sure if it supports dual monitors. Could I use the VGA output to display on a regular monitor as well, or would it only do one at a time?

I forced that res without any problems before...
I was at the SONY store once and the idiot had 2 black bars burning their brand new $10'000 Plasma TVs because he had the card set to the wrong res.

How do you go about forcing the rez?

apparently the card is capable of dual monitor support. It remains to be seen how well it will work.

The card should support it. It is driver dependent, so as long as you use the same driver that you used on the x1900 card you should get the same options when connected to your HDTV.

Even if you can go outside of the cards specs I don't think the hardware itself can handle the resolution.

It defintely has the power to produce that resolution "Max res 2048x1536 85Hz"

Did some research and found that the card will support custom resolutions so it should work fine.
