after i set up my new system, i had a bunch of spare parts liying around so i put a computer together, so maybe i could network them. anyway i need a new power supply and a new motherboard
trouble is, the mother board that has my k6-3 on it is busted, so i was hoping you guys could tell me what kinda mobo was good back in the day and maybe somewhere that would sell it, besides ebay hehe
my old powersupply is 10 years old, and it failed, but i got a crappy 80mm fan out of it hehe
im gonna need at least one ISA slot on this for my old NIC, if that matters

The board for me back in the day of my AMD adventures was definitely the Gigabyte GA-5ax My sister has it now she's running a AMD k6-2+ 500 @ 600mhz with water cooling and a peltier. It's worked at that speed for at least a year now. Good boards and in my opinion the GA-5ax is the best for OC's on AMD chips. They are still on sale on ebay for around $40 check them out.

Stay away from the FIC 503 boards, not good. I have had great success with the TYAN S1890S, but they are tough to find. I too have a few K6-2's lying about, it might be worth picking up some of the Gigabite boards....

I've been using a FIC 503+ for a couple years. Good overall board IMO if you don't mind using jumpers. Good for overclocking too.
