I have a 900 thunderbird that needs a new motherboard. Can I put it into one with the 133a northbridge or does it have to have something older like the old A7V?

You will have no problem running a 100/200 MHz FSB TBird or Duron in a KT133A motherboard. If your multiplier is unlocked, you can run the chip at a lower multiplier and 133 MHz FSB if you like. The KT133A boards also have settings to run the older chips at stock 100 MHz FSB as well. I've run my Duron 700 at as high as 140 MHz FSB (with a lower multiplier). So, in a nutshell, you should have no problems running an older chip on a newer motherboard.

Yup, Sickboy hit it right on the head. You shouldnt have any problems running that chip on a kt133a type board. I had my TB 800 100/200 FSB chip on my KT7A boards running with a 133/266 FSB with no problems.
