OMG help an IDIOT(me)

OK so I wanted to try out winxp pro.....a friend gave me his copy which came with his dell. Little did I know that it is not so simple.....anyways to cut to the chase I have 2 drives lets call em 'worky' and 'nowerky'.... werky is my old 5400 ibm 40 gig it has win 98se on it. Nowerky is my newer maxtor 7200 which has a 'small part installed XP' with 98se (and all my stuff!!). Nowerky is No werky....I cant boot into windows from it. in the past(b4 new upgrade) my puter no matter how I set it up would only acceps Nowerky as master(boot drive) so I have nowerky sitting on my desktop and my werky lets me type this....
I just want my 98se back!!!!!!!

Boot from a floopy and format the non working one and put 98 on it. from a CD.

An idiot eh? Here's my moment. I was screwing with my comp and I had to unplug the power switch...you know, that wire that goes from the case to the mobo so when you hit the power button that turns on. Well anyways, i hooked everything up but that. I go to turn it on and it won't work. So I'm like WTF. Now, what makes it worse was that I had just installed a new PSU. So I'm sitting there thinking the PSU is bad. I try a few things and I'm still like WTF you know. 20 minutes later I realize that I forgot to hook up that wire. (Slaps himself)
