I just got two seagate hd's and I'm going to set them up raid 0. Now on the jumper settings they say to set one up as master and one as slave. But if its raid 0 wouldn't I leave them both set up as master? Also the abit manual says to select a boot disk, but they don't specify, for which raid option. So does that matter?

Leave both drives set at master. Don't worry which drive is you boot drive. When you create the RAID it will set up automatically. Just be sure you set up a RAID0 config. Also be sure you activate the RAID set up in your BIOS. After the Raid is set you can have you BIOS set to boot to the floppy to get your windows app. installed. Then switch it back.

Many thanks roc. I guess its time to play:)

i hate to tell u this but seagate and highpoint raid setup don`t go too well or go at all.
if u can return them then get your self a pair of IBM`s or WD`s or maxtors.
no seagate and other except for the ones listed.

GOD...

Well I have it running and the only problem i'm having is that seagate says i should run with a udma 5 setting but the bios only goes up to udma 2. Even though the manual says it goes up to 5. Has anyone else noticed this?

that`s what i mean......
they don`t work together very well....
the performance is not as good as other drives setup as RAID 0.
i think they will work very well with a mambo jumbo RAID card with all the bell`s and whisle.
u know the ones which cost about +$500 bucks.
i had them and just could not get them to run well on my board.

GOD....
