ontrack easyrecovery HELP!!!!

I downloaded ontrack in order to get back some files on my bro's formated hd, but the only time it found any files is in raw data mode, how do I transfer those files into files that I need (word) so that I can save them?

Is it actually the word program Microsoft Word or is it the documents?

Because if it is the actual program you would need more than just the actual files...im not sure how to do this or even if it is discussable int he boards

But it if it is the documents you are looking for, check the manual for the program...there may be a way to convert it back to normal files....good luck!

thanks by the way it's the word files.
My main problem is I don't know which files to convert but I'll check the manual thanks.
If you can think of anything else please let me know.
