I have recently switched cpu's from an unlocked amd quad to a 955 BE and did'nt change HSF which is a Sunbeam core contact freezer 120. So I am right at 50 degrees overclocked and under load. It seems as though I am not pushing it hard since I am at 4.1 G on 1.375 V. The question is ..... is it woth changing HSF to go farther if so to what? I do have a Thermaltake Bigwater system at my disposal or is there an air solution that is with a doubt better and somewhat affordable?

I don't have a specific suggestion for you on coolers, but I would advise staying far away from the Bigwater line. A good air cooler will beat it out fairly easily.

yeah recently a fellow overclocker told me "Friends dont let friends use thermaltake" haha.

I've never messed with that heatsink, but looking on Newegg's site of the pics of it, it looks to be a decent cooler. Can you do better? Probably so. How much better? No sure on that one. But I think it will cost you at least $50 to get something better; don't think a Cooler Master 212 EVO is going to beat it significantly in performance and you would probably have to step up to something like a True Spirit 140, which is $40 plus around $12 shipping. If you are happy with those temps and aren't having any stability problems, then don't worry about it.

Well thanks for the input guys. Maybe 2 years ago that core contact was the HSF to have for AMD and it is still holding its own. According to Frosty its still in top 5 for AMD but I know things change pretty quickly. from what I see stepping up to a 140 cm. cooler or going to water seems my only options. Currently OC is set to 222 x 18.5 for 4.1 at 1.375. I tried simply adjusting multi and best was 4.0 @1.38V so yeah I know i am at the magic wall but I would think with better cooling I could get a little headroom.
