I just ordered an Opteron 175cd and was wondering if anyone has OC'd this cpu and what type of results they are getting. The stepping I have is E6 but I do not have any of the batch #'s yet as I have not received the cpu yet.

Can anyone give me some insight to the potential of this cpu? How does it compare to the 4400+ toledo which runs at 2.2 ghz also and has 2mb of L2 cache.

I just noticed the the HTT speeds are different between the x2 and the opty. The x2 is 2000mhz and the opty is 1000mhz. Is this really going to make a difference in over all performance for a gaming pc running 2 video cards in SLI mode?

Nope, this is an advertising blunder. All Optys, X2s and Full 64s have dual 1000Mhz HT busses, one in and one out for a total of 2Ghz. We typicly use about 200 -500 inbound and about 400-800 outbound with video. Only with a full 32 channel SLI MOBO will you approach the 1Ghz limit. The Optis do perform better in heat output, lower voltages and some have done 2.9G on good heatpipe aircool.
