Basicly does anyone know if the above will work? Im using the latest bios revision and im assuming it will work but dont wanna buy the CPU if people have had problems.

Regards
Dan

Probably work...yes. Warrantied to work...no. http://us.dfi.com.tw/Support/mb_faq_us1.jsp?FAQ_ID=4761&PAGE_TYPE=US&SITE=US Opteron and mobile cpus on DFI desktop motherboards are not fully supported nor recommended by AMD. Amd quite slickly does not suggest opterons except on the server/workstation class mobo that they built the cpu for at the request of a huge OEM manufacturer...however they gladly take the money for them it seems.

939 is 939.

the ONLY thing you have to worry about is whether the bios will work with a dual core....

939 is 939...
