OSX and SSD

FWIW, I've been using an SSD with my Mac for over a year and never had any performance problems related to the drive itself slowing down. Now, when I upgraded from Tiger to Snow Leopard everything went to hell in a handbasket but that wasn't the fault of the drive or lack of TRIM support in OSX. I don't think it is as big of an issue with HFS and EXT file systems as it is with NTFS and FAT.

well i been running an x25 in osx for a week or so, and no issues... i also did fe tweaks that supposed to increase the speed of it..

The best thing you can do for it in OSX is to update the firmware to the latest version. I don't know about Intel but my OCZ allowed me to do this without wiping the data on the drive. I know that some do not.
