I just got a computer equipped with a RADEON VE card.
I dual boot between Windows 98 SE and windows 2000.
The drivers for Win2k installed and worked just fine.
The problem is when I tried and installed the drivers for Win98 (either
the ones from the install CD or the ones downloaded from ATI site),
after the system rebooted, I got an "OUT OF FREQUENCY " error onscreen and cannot boot into Windows!

This is the first time EVER such thing happens to me after installing a ATI driver.

Can ne1 HELP?

It happened wether I run at stock speed or o/ced. Like I said, Win2k works just fine, that's what really stumps me !!?

Thats what stumped me too, I kept thinking of possible solutions and then discarding them. Sorry I couldn't help but maybe someone else can.

BUMP

Problem solved !!!
It had to do with the Hardware Acceleration setting. As soon as I throttled it back a notch, everything is kosher again !
