Overclock i5 2500k to 4.5Ghz...help

I have an i5 2500k CPU, Intel DP67BG motherboard, and GTX 1080 GPU. My i5 2500k is currently stock and I am CPU bound on some sims (like X-plane 10).

I plan to get Corsair H100i liquid cooling. I also want another motherbaord because the DP67BG no longer overclocks and I am tired of fighting with the software (updating etc) provided by Intel for the DP67BG.

Can anyone recommend a good gaming motherboard that I can get up 4.5 or 4.6 GHz for the CPU?

As far as the mobo.. we like asrock extreme 4/6 around here among many others.

Thanks for the info, can you recommend any good 1155 socket motherboards around the $100 USD price point?

Asrock Z68/Z77 Extreme4/6. You should find some used around the $70/$80 mark.
