This makes me sick because if when i bought this thing I knew if would be this hard (or impossible) to overclock my gateway I would have never bought it and built my own! does anyone know if it is possible to voerclocka gateway? Maybe another flash with a different bios that is compatable and will override the maintenance mode. Understand that my computer is a G6-350 although I will be overclocking a celeron 300. ICQ is 122242054 and my email is [email protected]. Thanks!!

Well you might be lucky and find jumpers on your board or say maybe a FSB setting in your BIOS if not comes the fun part of finding your clock gen and getting the number off it. Once you do that get Soft FSB and also the package that has all the *.PLL files in it. With good cooling you could overclock it.

This will aid in your quest of the Clock gen

I had a G6-333 and I was never able to overclock it, though I never used and software programs such as SoftFSB, I just ended up selling it and building a new system. I wish you luck.

I did overclock a gateway bx board by using a slotket with adjustable vcore via jumpers on the slotket. Your only fsb choices are 66 or 100 mhz tho. You also need a socket 370 cpu, one that will go to 100 mhz. I got a cellie 366 to do 550 that way.
