i have a p3 500 mhz.gateway solo pro 9300. can it be overclocked at all? if so how, where to find info on how to do it and info on the board itself ?? anything i can do to make it faster,(100 mgs ram already )what if i run the FSB (what is this also) as we can all tell, i know nothing really about this, so any help (so i dont tear anything up real bad) would be really great ,thanks alot

Welcome to overclocking. I am here to teach you to fish, not just put a meal in front of you (because I really care). :)

Check out the Email FAQs on the left bar of the front page. There is GOOD info on how to overclock, slightly outdated, but good basics. That said, overclocking is done by changing the FSB. Your motherboard will either let you do that or not. Typically, name brand computers do not add features you do not need, such as adjustable FSB. In short, you may be aout of luck, but read up, you are in for a fun ride on a new addiction.

Unfortunatley Gateway motherboards are Gateway motherboards. Built specifically to sell in retial machines at retail speeds. They run stock FSB's and of course normal voltages.

They are as stable as hell, but not tweakable.

Never mind
