Overclocking Duron 700 HELP !!!!!!

I have:
Duron 700 w/shim and arctic silver compound
128 megs of PC100
Epox 8KTA+ Motherboard
TNT2 Ultra AGP w/extra large heatsink + ramsinks

I have seen posts of people getting the 700s to 1 gig, even 600s to a gig. (sonofwolf for example)
I can't seem to get mine even to 950
Regarding FSB, the highest stable FSB I can use is 104.
105 - 108 will lock me up in Windows after a VERY short time, an FSB of 110 will post, 111 will not.
I can adjust my CPU voltage up to 1.89

I have seen posts regarding Burning-In, I have Prime95, CPUBURN, BurnInTest from Passmark and Sandra 2001.
One suggestion to me for burning in was to run the CPU at the default speed (700) and to jack the voltage up to MAX, another suggested running it at the highest stable speed with the voltage maxed.
What is the correct way ??
What programs should I run, and how long does it usually take ??

Duron 600s and 700s are practically identical chips. So, you may as well just buy a 600 (unless the 700 costs the same, in which case just go 700 since it can't hurt anything).

I don't know how people manage to get their Durons running so high. The highest Duron I ever managed to get was 1 GHz... But I got a LOT of others first that would not manage this high.

Out of 7 Durons here's what I ended up with.
1 @ 650 MHz (dud)
1 @ 850 MHz
3 @ 900 MHz
1 @ 950 MHz
1 @ 1000 MHz

Maybe I just have bad luck? 900 or better seems pretty reliable though. Maybe with more voltage you can push it higher.

Vincent, go to this link and read about the L1 bridges and overclocking with the multiplier, not so much the FSB. You should get around 950mhz as max, this is average.

I have already Unlocked the Duron by connecting the bridges, I guess my main focus now is Burn-in.

with that pc100 i'm surprised it actually booted at 110fsb, my suggestion is to get some higher quality ram if you want to overclock the FSB, My duron 700 is running rock solid at 1Ghz, FSB o/c does give better results but a bit of both is better still

It's NOT the RAM,
I had the RAM installed on an ASUS board and the RAM was clocked at 147 mhz.

whats your i/o voltage? My FSB wouldn't go anywhere until i jacked it up to 3.8 volts. Now im getting 112 FSB on Abit kt7 (non-raid)

yes my cheap *** no-name pc 100, does 124mhz clock.And i would be suprised to find ANY pc 100 that wouldnt.

You may simply have hit the limit of your particular chip. However, don't let that keep you from continued experimentation. I'm pretty sure that I'll never get my 600 past 884, but every now and then I try again anyways, just for the fun of trying. Only thing I hate is when I mess it up so bad I have to clear the bios to get it to POST.
