I have started to overclock my E6550 CPU & i got it to 3.34GHZ.

The system runs fine in MemTest(over 8 hours),Intel Burn Test(up to 50 rounds) & Small FFT test(over 8 hours),but freezes when in Blend test mode or Large in-place FFTs.

My PC:

CPU: E6550
MB: Gigabyte P35 DQ6 with latest Bios(F9)
RAM: Corsair DDR2 TWIN2X4096-8500C5C 1066MHz

What can be the problem here?

Here are some pics of my BIOS & CPUZ.

Try increasing FSB Overvoltage Control (VTT) to +0.20V w/ a FSB of 478MHz, and possibly changing Static tRead Value (Performance Level) from 8 to 9. And w/ a VID of 1.3125V (verify w/ Real Temp--> "Settings" page--> Max Core VID) you may need to apply more than 1.35 Vcore (1.344V in CPU-Z) for your current 1.0GHz overclock.

Ok ill do it & test to see what happens.

What about MCH Overvoltage Control?

Should i increase it or leave at normal?

You could try upping MCH Voltage Control (vNB) +0.10 - 0.20V if the Blend or Large FFTs test still fails, even after making the above changes.

Ok now that its set like you said the Large inplace FFTs test runned for 5 Hours & 30 Minutes then system freeze.

Ill up the MCH voltage & test some more to see if it gets better.

My CPU Vcore voltage is 1.4V.
