alright so i read your posts on overclocking an AMD 3800+ and i always get stuck and lost when overclocking my CPU because apparently my motehrboard a (LANPARTY UT RDX200) doesn't have a lot of the things you guys tell me to do. the first thing is that i cant get to a place to increase my voltage.

I dont know if either i cant find it or its just not there. I really want to overclock my CPU but im having trouble if anyone has had experience with this motherboard your help is greatly appreciated.

I would just get a new cpu, that processor is so old and I've never heard of such a mobo before.

R U A rich troll or something ...?

Not quite, but it doesn't take much money to buy a piece of hardware here and there. Especially with newegg and craigslist around. Eventually you will have a decent setup, thats what i did and my setup is still not top notch. just a thought.

Off topic "Except at this forum, we offer help. It's generally looked down upon, in this community, to run around telling people to just run out and buy the latest and greatest. The essence of overclocking is to take what we have, and make it faster, if you don't know how to do it yourself, ask for help... which is exactly what he did" end Off Topic

Do you have a link to your motherboard manual? (I can't locate it on DFI's website) If not, you could possibly take pictures of the BIOS pages and post them up for us.

Have you got a setting in your BIOS labeled "CPU VID"? That should be the vCore (CPU voltage). I had forgotten how complicated the DFI BIOS can sometimes be - LOL! I had trouble with the xbit link so I found another article over at legitreviews - maybe it'll help ... :)

We're all so happy you've got a new computer but suggesting the s939 systems are too old to be useful, just because you're too young to know what they are and what they can do, is just plain rude. All the games and apps that matter to ME run great (even a new high-clocked quad can't run them any better) so spending even $10 to "upgrade" my desktop system would be a waste of money. On the other hand, spending $0 to ask for help to overclock it is smart ... ;)

Excuse me for speaking in a manor the wasn't asked upon. I don't want to come off the wrong way, I'll keep things on topic next time instead of coming up with alternative solutions. Didn't mean to come off that way. Although I did have a 3500+ and 4200+ one day as well a while back, well I still have the 4200 but stoped using it years ago since the cache size was low.

The settings he wants to look at are in the Genie Bios Settings section of the bios.

FSB is the CPU bus clock, so I would guess that the CPU/FSB ratio would be the cpu multplier. There is a section to set up your ram. There are voltage controls. It looks like the settings for the LDT are there.

Stickied above your thread somewhere is a post called Easy as 1,2,3 overclocking the A64. http://www.overclockers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=391768

Great read and it may help you to get going.

Much Luck.

Btw, looks like a nice board. I am still running a oc'ed socket a proc and a 939. Have fun.
