Hello all,
I am a newbie to over clocking techniques but not to PCs. Just looking for a little advice on selecting a motherboard and a CPU that will be price effective to combine and O/C so I can get out of the Dell P2-350 Integrated AGP crap hole I'm stuck in. I don't have crazy dollars either so I would like to do it efficiently.
I have been staring down the ASUS CUSL-C motherboard as I have heard and read from many that they are an awesome manufacturer who makes good quality stuff. Plus that particular board seemed to have the necessities to put together a pretty nice system. Any advice/opinions or anything on that? How good is that mobo for O/C?
Second, if I grab that guy... what would be the best choice for a Pentium III processor to select? I was looking at the Pentium III 866 and 933s for prices... but I been reading about the "EB" and how that really means they took an older processor and changed the multiplier already so they have much less "overclockability" to use a non-existent word.
What would any of you suggest I do/purchase?
Thank you for the time,
-T
