hi there

I've recently bought a VIA Apollo GA-6VXDC7 Dual motherboard and two PIII 866's. I've 256 CAS2 RAM - How do I go about overclocking this thing up to - say 1GHz ? I don't know very much about what I can vary- or where to look to find out ??

Any other users of the same sort of kit ?

Any advice ?

Gavs.

I highly recomend that you read the begginers guides on the front page.

Basically all you need to do is raise the FSB, and maybe give a little Vcore to help it along.

But keep in mind that good cooling is not an option, its a neccesity! You may also find that the memory timings need decreasing, and I/O voltage may need to be raised.

After you read the beginners guides, read thoroughly through your motherboard's manual. It will give you a basic idea of what jumpers, BIOS settings, etc, can be adjusted on your particular board.
