I neeed a little help from you genius types on overclocking this motherboard and CPU combo. So far I can get settings of 140mhz (4:4:1) to work. After that all settings 145mhz 150 mhz have to be (4:3:1) or I get a windows protection error. Is there a workaround for this ? If so, What ? I have loaded the latest i-815 inf file which helped a lot. Video is an Annihilator Pro. Memory is 256mb. CPU temp is 60 c.

I found the inf file on Intels website. It was listed as a utility with very little description. I will try to attach here. The file name was infinst_enu.zip

Thanks I found it.
Sounds like your memory dosent like going over 140mhz .
Maybe set the memory to 3-3-3 if its not already.

I have not changed CAS settings in BIOS. Is this something I should try ? Default is set to 3.

Ok your already running at the slowest memory timing then changing to 2-2-2 would only make it worse for a higher fsb.
Btw a system with the memory set at 2-2-2 will usually be as fast as the same system with the memory set at 3-3-3 but the cpu running 100mhz higher.

Your temps are high. Is this stock cooling (i'm thinking C cause if its F you must have a TEC or live in alaska). Also what is your voltage at. Get some better cooling (an alpha pal and artic silver are a good combo) and bump the voltage to 1.8 then 1.9 if need be. Did you try burning it in too?
