ok is it possible to have a good overclock with this type of motherboard.they down the rules. i have a xp 1600, the fbs is at 133.

The board clocks well I have one and I can run my 1.2 @ 1.5 using 150 fsb and 10x multiplier but I need to do some tweaking to get it stable and I do not have the time so I run it at 1470 rock solid 147 fsb and 10x multiplier.

But to let you know the via chipset droips USB support after 138 fsb, I do not know if the Pro2 version has this problem corrected.


It is a great board I love mine but plan to sell mine and get the KT3 Ultra

when you say that the board drops USB support after 138FSB does that mean that the USB's operate by them selves?
if this is so!!! lol this sounds stupid but is there any way to make them work ?
my modem is USB and I need it, but if it's stopping my OCing to a degree is there a work around for this?

I have a USB DSL modem and I was at 145 FSB, no problems at all. So I guess MSI fixed the problem...

By the way, the 3.2 bios seems to be the best overclocking bios. If you flash to 3.5 (newest) you'll [email protected] the overclocking. With the 3.5 I could only get to 136 FSB!

I bet thats MY friggen problem cause I flashed to the newest bios last week and since that it went to 160 FSB one time and locked up ,had to clear cmos etc and since that it wont do crap past 140FSB,cept lock up!
is it possible to revert to an older bios or is that going to screw things up?

sho nuff that was the problem now I'm kickin'it at 150FSB haha thanks for that little tip & Idea gonna go higher later on and see if I can get past the 170's again hehehehe Thanks and happy OCing Ry.
