dave ...yes the 1498's are just average ppd

lee ... 300 mb is about the biggest memeory usage i have seen including the qmd's (from before your folding days - they ended back in january '06).

Most wu's are under 165 mb (gpu's)... and most current amber and patty melts are less than 6 mb.

Generation 0 of p1498 started just like p1497. However, each successive frame got a little bit longer. On my FX-53 it started at just over 18 minutes and ended at just over 28 minutes/frame, averaging around 25:15/frame. It was making 400+ ppd for the first five frames which is about as long as they run them benchmarking. Sadly, generation 1 started where gen 0 finished and subsequent generations have been even slower. I complained about the resources required compared to the points value long ago but it wasn't changed.

I have one of those WU on my main rig right now. Started out at around 15 mins a frame and has increased to over 30 mins at the 57th frame.

Project: 1498 (Run 0, Clone 203, Gen 4)
Frame 1 in about 2:04:00 on a P3 933 duallie folding a p2413 on the other cpu.
Frame 18 is still about 2:04:00. So not all of them slow down. 62 ppd.

P1498 hogs enough ram bandwidth to slow down the p2413 on the other cpu by 20 minutes/frame, taking it from 85 ppd to 70ppd. It would be nice if they rebenched p1498.
