i would of taken the p180, to each his own.

A p180, matched with a mobo that situates the cpu at the top not the middle (dfi for example) you can set up a crazy push pull from every direction with any big tower hsf, name it, ultra120, ninja, tuniq. Also my HDD are nice and cool, and my case is so silent all I hear are my 3 HDD spinning once in a while :)

I would of picked the P180 as well. Great solid case and nice insulation on it to dampen sounds.

the build quality of lian li cases is unbeatable. My brother owns a high end rig in that case, he opened up the case...and the temps stayed the same as the case closed. just a sign of the superior airflow that case offers.

I dont understand...where is the sound insulation? I littered my case with thick 1 inch sound insulation and it barely made a difference. I dont even see any on that case.

While it isn't much theres foam on the inside of the 2 side panels. Plus added padding to not make metal to metal contact on the side panels as well. IMO the panels are nice and thick to help dampen the sound coming from the area which is nice.

agreed. I have the P180 and its excellent. The intake fan filters work excellent. As do the the 2x 120mm fans right near the CPU.
With the entire case being metal on plastic, there is no vibration at all. Even where the drives mount, its all silicon grommets so the drives "free float".
The airflow in this case is excellent.

But what really sold me is the layout. Most cases, they are designed to be hot. The cpu, video card and the PSU all in the same spot. i mean really, the CPU is inches away from the oven of a PSU, thats just bad layout right there.
With the P180 the PSU sits at the bottom of the case(makes sense since its so heavy), and is sectioned off from the mobo. The cables go through a little hole. It also gets its down huge 120mm fan and its own filter...basically, its in its own straight-through wind tunnel(has room for drive bays also.

google up some reviews. I know this will be the last case I will ever own.

I am not a fan of the P180, personally. The Lian Li great for the reason that if you have a side mount heastink (like an Ultra-120) the push from the front and the pull from the 120 right there is great. My brother has the same kind of set up, a 120 in the front and a 120 in the back with a Scythe Mine cooler and his temps are very very nice for a 4400 X2

hmm, someone needs to buy both, a high end lianli midtower case, and a p180 mid

put the exact same high end rig in both with theiir after market tower hsf, (tuniq whynot? :p)

test temps on both to see which actually is better...

I own a P180 and I would vote for the PC-7B.
The P180 has some annoying features, namely the 120mm fan that's in the middle of the bottom which has to be removed in order to get most PSU cables the reach the motherboard. The front door is annoying, and the teeth on the side panels break off really easily.

Personally I would of chosen the P180. I don't like cases that don't have some sort of door covering the drives, buttons etc.

Also, it looks to have a nice layout, however as owners have said - it has problems.
