I just did a case mod (side fan) and now my CPU temps are down but my motherboard temp go up. I was wondering does anyone know the location of the motherboard sensor. I want to know if the fan is blowing the hot CPU air directly onto the sensor or if my ambient has gone up.

What mobo?? Asus P2B? If thats it, then you have to buy a separate thermistor for that mobo which attaches to 2-pins and then attaches to the underside of HSF... Hope this helps

No, I have that. But there is a termal sensor built into the motherboard. There is a total of 3 CPU, Power Supply, and Motherboard. The motherboard is the only built in sensor.
