well have been having trouble overclocking this set up..have just switched to waterchill and thought a decent overclock would be reasonably easy..i updated to latest bios and managed to quiet most mobo beeps BUT as far as overclocking is concerned seem to be :bang head managed to use the auto overclock facility real steady at 10% but try 20% and get to cpu test in 3d mark 03 and screen goes blue craaaashh!! have tried manual thinking 3.5 should be an easy target have set ddr @ 400 and turned all performance settings off even tried raising cpu vcore but had no effect any i deas guys??? thanx in advance:D

I would work it more a little more scientifically. When I started oc'ing mine, I'd adjust one setting at a time, making notes, running Prime95, graphics benchmarks, etc., annotating results as I went. If you adjust numerous settings at each reboot it is pretty much impossible to determine what was sucessful and had positive results or vice versa. Over clocking is not something to rush, unless you've got money to burn.

thanks for the advice guys i have it running at 3545 and stable after adjusting taking the memory speed down a notch to 320 and setting pci/agp frequency at 33/66 all seems stable after running 3d mark 03 and si soft burn in etc etc:D BTW will the asus probe stop me from going over 3.6 as it seems to say that is the limit of my cpu????
