P4C800 E - "Burst Length", "32 bit IDE", "Turbo" ??
Just moved from an Abit Max3 and have had somewhat better results with the ASUS, but primarily because it supplies a tad bit move voltage to the memory.
The Bios options "DRAM Burst length" 4 or 8 don't seem to make a diff. in my testing. (mushkin pc3500 lvl2) - which one is "faster" ?
The Bios option "32 bit data transfer" on the IDE drives page also doesn't seem to make a difference ? I'm using Bus Master enable, BTW. Anybody have insight ??
Finally, I have enabled "turbo" and, on the memory timings page, "enhanced" and see no changes in SuperPi or Sandra. What gives ???
I am just used to the Abit / Award Bios I guess.
BTW, am able to to 285 FSB @ 5:4 2-5-3-2 / Turbo / Enhanced with the ASUS, and was only able to do 272 on the Max3 or my IC7 at max voltage, and was never able to use any GAT under any divider.
The ASUS (measured with VOM) puts 2.88V to the Memory when set at 2.85
