well, my next system will combine one of these boards with either a 2.6c or 2.8c P4 and an Antec Truepower 550W psu. watercooling will almost certainly come at a later date. what i'm wondering is, which board is a better overclocker?

I have both and so far i prefer the Asus P4C800-E. Only reason i have the IC7-MAX3 is because it works in my VapoPE without any mods or upgrades needed. The Abit is a nice board but i find myself preferring the Asus. Perhaps over time my view may change.

Have you considered the gigabyte 8KNXP?

i haven't heard of that board. but now that i've looked it up, no i won't be considering it because it's $360 and i don't think it will work with the zalman7000a-cu due to the extra power regulator card.

but damn, that's a pretty bad *** board. :D:D:D
oo, there's a refurb on newegg.com. maybe i'll order that and see. if it's missing critical parts or anything i'll just return it. or be out $170 :-/ well, i hope it works.
