I saw in here somewhere that Asus was to cease support for the P4P800. Few days ago the new BIOS came out. It only comment is that its an update for support for 'new processors'. Could this mean the Prescotts???? Am I confused her or what??
"CPU -Socket 478 for Intel Pentium 4/Celeron up to 3.2GHz+
-Intel Hyper-Threading Technology ready
-New power design supports Intel next generation Prescott CPU"
......I have read over 1000 threads saying they will not support this mobo anymore and then they released new bios for it . Until Asus says it, don't believe anyone.......
I was pointed in one thread to an Asus statement. . . . I cant find the link. . but thus I asked. . . I saw a 3.4 prescott is going to be about 425 dollars US. Would be nice to see Intel allow an upgrade for the cost of the chip only for once. . . .ahhh the old 486 days.....
