The Alpha PAL8942 requires 4 mounting holes on the motherboard. I don't see four holes on my P4PE.

Or are those white wax-like circles at each corner of the CPU HSF bracket area removeable?

Bottom line, does the Alpha 8942 fit in the P4PE? Does it come in contact with any resistors..etc?

You have to remove the bracket to see 4 holes.

Yes it does fit without touching the capacitors. :)

Hey thanx!
Is removing the bracket hard?
use a flat head screwdriver and pry under the white tabs and lift it enough so you can pull them out with your fingers... not hard to do

i have 3 x alpha 8942s :)
