YAY! the newest version of PCProbe works great with my P4S333. I found it at:

Just cut and paste.
The German ASUS site www.asuscom.de *always* has the newest stuff first, heh I don't even go through the USA site to check for updates anymore. This is such an important issue for P4S owners I decided to put this in the main Intel boards section...mods feel free to move it if you want.
It works great for me, shows my mobo temp @ 25, CPU @ 32 idle, 43 load, so it does work. Time to update the sig with 'real' temperatures.
