So, the Palomino has a temp diode. But can it be employed with existing motherboards? Specifically the AM7266. Probably not. Do we have to wait for a new generation of motherboards to use this feature?
686B has the capability - Celly's and P3's use it on 693a and 694x boards - so it is certainly a possibility that a BIOS update is all that it will take.
That's definitely good news..... it may help settle some of this socket A temp issue debates.... but like the frontpage articles say, it wont solve everything.
