Parallel port for files sharing through 2 PCs

I have the Parallel cable which connects one PC to another PC. Now, what program is the best at speed and reliabliltyness at transfering data?

By the way, I have LapLink Gold. I am wondering if there are another programs that are better than it.

I've used both Laplink and the built in Direct Cable connect, I found them both to be about the same speed.

IMO Laplink is easier to setup I found.

u could always just use crossover cable if u already have 2 nic's in each machine.
