I was messing around in my bios today looking for a problem that I had with performance. Upon messing around I stumbled onto PCIClCK. It was set to /4 which means devide the bus speed by 4 if I am not mistaken. Well when I saw this I remember reading about newer motherboards letting you set all the way down to 5. I was curious to see what mine would go down to. I was quite shocked that mine went to not 5 but rather 6. I am mixing something up or is this what it means and is this normal or do I have a rare mainboard?

Whoa, cool. If it actually works, you could theoretically get a FSB of 198 with no hardware conflicts. That would be pretty cool if you could find a stick of memory that could do that

Now if I only had a good processor to put in that baby and figure out how to mess with the voltage well so I don't blow it.

Yea, what board is a good question...to my knowledge the highest pci divider is 4 and possibly going to 5 on some Epox boards....but 6, Whoa...that's be cool if it was true. :)

Well I believe It is made by PC 100. I bought it about two years ago and that is why I was shocked.

Yeah, I've seen those boards. They're knock offs of PC-Chips, only they run. I think it has on-board audio and video and modem right?

Yeah they are supposed to have on board audio and video...but I never got them to work. It is the Slot 1 BXtoo chipset. Does that sound right? Everything else works fine though. If I ever get a cheap celeron like 300Mhz that I don't mind if I fry I will crank that baby up as high as it will go...with the pci clock at 6 of coarse.

i have seen a few PC 100 boards that were all in one boards, their pretty crappy. so i thought !
