My motherboard has the option to autodetect the DIMM/PCI clock speed. If this is enabled does it keep my pci bus speed in spec if I turn up the FSB? I'm using the MSI KT3 Ultra 2.

The option, I believe, is "auto-detect DIMM/PCI clock". It has nothing to do with speed. It is a good option to have enabled, though. What it does is disable the sending of power and clock signals to PCI and DIMM slots not in use.
