I've heard some talk about some new boards (MSI I think) coming out soon with PCI divisors or 5. Does anyone know of any boards with that divisor that are out now?
If my math is right, your really gonna need that, or else your PCI bus will be screaming and your pci cards won't work. For instance, 166mhz = only 25% above 133mhz bus... but 166/4 = pci running @42mhz = 26% over 33mhz pci spec.
From what I know, the pci bus is very sensitive to anywhere over 10% over spec, or ~36.7, whereas the system bus and ram are not.
In other words, unless you have good pci cards that can withstand overclocking, your effectively limited to 150mhz fsb on a 133mhz system... right? Any feedback on this is appreciated.
So, are there any boards out there now with a pci div of 5?
